I am a dedicated professional with a strong foundation in public health and emergency management, driven by my passion for improving community health and safety through preparedness, crisis response, and public health initiatives. My experience working in healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic shaped my path into both public health and emergency management, where I saw firsthand the critical need for coordinated response efforts and public health strategies to protect communities during crises.During my internship with Rockwall County Emergency Management, I had the opportunity to apply my public health background while gaining hands-on experience in emergency management. One of my key projects was organizing a Flu Vaccine Fair for an underserved community. I led the event planning, coordinated with local health agencies, secured free vaccines, and managed logistics to ensure the event ran smoothly. This experience reinforced the connection between public health and emergency management, highlighting the importance of preparation, coordination, and community engagement during large-scale health initiatives. My internship strengthened my skills in crisis management, resource coordination, and public health communication, and I’m eager to continue building on this foundation. I am committed to using my experience to help organizations respond to emergencies, promote public health, and foster community resilience.
