Current• Architected the NPM module Chronos-tracker, with the system information module as a complement, to retrieve and log container health stats on Dockerized microservices to PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases• Deciphered Node.js and Express.js to construct test microservices to handle requests to RESTful APIs and incorporate customized middleware designs while testing the custom-made module (chrono-tracker)• Containerized the microservices with Docker and coordinated them with Docker compose to test the feature of retrieving and logging container health stats to databases while ensuring consistent communication between containerized services• Migrated product to Node LTS (14.16.1) and updated node packages to the most recent versions, thereby removing critical security issues and extending the life cycle of this open source application• Updated Plotly visualization tools to render more intuitive microservice data metrics such as microservice endpoint traces, containerized data and systems information through a UI-focused dashboard giving developers stats for making informed decisions• Integrated responsive React frontend with event-driven rendering, resulting in efficient utilization of browser resources when rendering microservice visualizations, minimizing the DOM redraw frequency and improving Electron application performance• Leveraged Jest, Enzyme, Spectron to automate unit testing and end-to-end testing and Travis CI to streamline codebase integration• Product developed under tech accelerator OS Labs (opensourcelabs.io)
