The internship gave an array of hands on experience working in a corporate environment. Mainly working with gusseted pouches, paperboard trays, corrugated cartons and some injection molded bottles.I played a support role on major innovation projects: handling dielines, communicating with suppliers, working with operations, supporting line trials, testing packaging, & updating the cross the functional team.I took the lead packaging engineer role on multiple packaging change projects; working with marketing, graphic design, operations, procurement and our suppliers to take projects from start to finish. My responsibilities included: packaging design, specification creation, and coordination of line trials.I also had the opportunity to work with our fast to market team coordinating with co-packers and co-manufacturers helping to design molds for products.
