I was initially brought in to One Family to create a flexible and future proofed excel cost allocation model to produce a cost per policy for the multiple products they offer.I was also heavily involved in the implementation of a new general ledger using Microsoft Dynamics; initially I worked on the setup, testing and rollout of the Cost Allocation module and Budgeting within Dynamics.My contract was extended to take over as Interim Finance Business Partner alongside the Business Change function: as part of this role I was heavily involved in the roll out and reconciliation of the Project Management module in Dynamics.I was also involved in training the permanent FP&A team in the Microsoft Dynamics rollout: producing documentation and test plans, training key users, reconciling and checking their output, working with teams to run the new process until it became business as usual.

The BIMM Institute is a group of six independent colleges with over 5,600 students that specialise in the provision of Modern Music education in Brighton, Bristol, Dublin, Manchester, Berlin and LondonI was placed at BIMM for an interim maternity cover, and was responsible for leading the management accounting team through Year End processes and into the next Financial Year. The role was interesting as gave me a view of the education industry as well as providing further, intensive systems experience on Sage 200 which was newly implemented at the Institution on my arrival.

Brought in to set up standard costing for winery operations, including full system set up on Sanderson Unity F8. Worked alongside the Chief Operating Officer to ensure that robust processes were set in place to cope with the fast growth of the business as the operations ramp up year on year.

Horder Healthcare is a centre of excellence, which specialises in orthopaedic surgery: they have recently acquired the McIndoe Centre and are aligning their systems and financial reporting suites.I built robust Costing & Pricing models for both clinics’ Private Medical Insurance contracts and NHS work, where none existed previouslyI also provided support to the Financial Controller: overseeing general ledger reclassifications and building budget models for both clinics in order to align their financials from FY17 onwards.
