President and founding member of Green Mind (2012) a non-governmental organization established by a group of Lebanese professionals seeking to inspire and promote sustainable social and economic practices throughout the Mid East and North Africa.. Green Mind was able to plan, launch and bring to success two great and recognized events in one single year. The first event is “Green Mind Award”, an event that encourages and honors the green best practices in the Middle East and the MENA region through highlighting the positive and outstanding accomplishments in the field of environment instead of the old strategy of blaming and pointing out the harmful behaviors of people towards the environment. Green Mind Award targets by large the youth, shows them the glamorous side of being a friend of the environment, makes it more “à la mode” for them and inspires them to change towards eco-attitudes.The event was able to reach more than 7 middle eastern countries and is expanding to reach the whole MENA region in its second edition in 2014. The award is open to individuals as well the private sector, including: industries, NGO’s, university students, community or governmental groupsThe second is “Bikeathon”,Organized by Green Mind, the first official Bikeathon event in Beirut 2012saw an impressive turnout! Thousands of people from diverse backgrounds from all partsof the country participated in this event and rode their bikes in an attempt to support the environment.The goal of the yearly Bikeathon is to raise awareness on the transportation problem that Lebanon is facing and that can be fixed through encouraging an alternate means of transport: cycling.
