Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization that allows it's members to gain the confidence to hone and excel their skills in public speaking and leadership. Toastmasters has many levels of both speaking and leadership, starting from the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader, and all the way to Advanced Communicator and Leader Bronze, Silver, and Gold. As a Competent Communicator, we are able to organize our speeches, manage our vocal variety and body language, and inspire and persuade our audience, but most importantly speak confidently in public. As a Competent Leader, we are able to manage a team, organize an event, be aware of our surroundings and think outside the box, but most of all, we are able to do so confidently and effectively.As a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), I have achieved one of the highest levels in the Toastmasters Organization. This is proof that by completing about 80 speeches, conducting multiple workshops, organized a team to produce multiple events, and sticking with the core values; integrity, service, respect, and excellence, I have come out of my comfort zone and enhance my communication and leadership skills. I am honored to carry such a title. This DTM status was achieved within the classic educational programme.

Brief about UBR:Underground Book Reviews began as a blog run by four writers in 2011. Like many other book bloggers, we were aspiring authors interested in reaching out to the indie community and creating a platform for our own writing endeavors. Every Monday, we wrote a review. It was a simple formula, and we enjoyed the inspiration we gained from the authors we met in the process. Our team of writers, reviewers and judges grew substantially over the next few years, and we brought on hundreds of new authors every month.About the Reviewer RoleOur role was fairly simple.- As a reviewer, we had a pick of endless books written by self-published authors eager to get their books out into the market.- Once picked, we schedule our publishing dates on the website and begin reading- Once read, as reviewers, we were asked to write an honest review based off a set guide on what angle to approach. - It is our job to publish it review on the UBR website, and on the book pages of Goodreads.com and Amazon.com- As this it was contract based, we were asked to invoice quarterly for our reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the UBR team. They were super helpful when we would take stuck with writers block. Their initiative and drive was the perfect atmosphere to work with, even if it was via email.UBR has official closed their doors at the end of 2018.

When assisting this family business, I achieved the ideas of how small business' works, with an understanding of the inflow and outflow of goods and cash, etc. Though I majorly did data entry, organized files into folders, answered emails and phone calls, keep track of the stock and inventory the business acquired over the years, I was moved up in managing part of the accounts and bank transactions. For the next year, I had been in charge of writing up the cash inflow and outflow of the business; with deposits, transfers, etc.Within the two years of working for Moh'd Qamber Auto Electrical and AC Repair, I in turned realized how a small business can live for decades.

Working with El Yowm Productions part-time, I gathered experience of how small and/or large event prepares for the main show. Though I only worked with El Yowm Productions on and off throughout the years, I learned a lot about to ticket managing, ushering, how to deal with the audience and the performers, as well as how an event is organized. My time with El Yowm Productions was a memorable one. I met new people and got great experience. There were stressful moments but I really did enjoy it all.
