I have been employed with Deloitte since 2012 after joining the Deloitte TrAX Graduate Programme. From hundreds of entries and various meetings with Deloitte Partners only six graduates were chosen for the 2012 TrAX Graduate Programme. Deloitte has been my first employer straight after completing my Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree (BCom Accounting) as well as Honours in Taxation degree at the University of Pretoria. I also completed my Mcom in Taxation degree (MCom Taxation) during my first three years at Deloitte.I am a well-spoken, presentable professional with drive, knowledge and ambition to succeed in a multitude of roles ranging from business development, managerial, coaching, to financial. During my time at Deloitte, and in my current position as Senior Manager in the Global Investment and Innovation Incentives (GI3) Business Unit, I have acted as a consultant to clients in various industries including construction, manufacturing, mining, dairy, film, bank and telecommunications. GI3 is a business unit that specialises in Research and Development, Energy and Carbon Tax as well as Government Grants and Incentives in Africa with its predominant focus and experience in South Africa. My main focus in my current position is project management and assisting clients in determining the best grants to apply for, whether it being tax incentives or cash grants. I have the ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds and I am well versed at initiating and building professional relationships. I have demonstrated that I exceed expectations by delivering high quality work under pressure and meeting respective deadlines, with exceptional client service. I have built quality and long-lasting relationships with my clients as well as Deloitte team members and have received feedback as being professional and adding value.I have been faced with a multitude of technical challenges during my time at Deloitte and as a result of my academic training and intellectual capabilities I have demonstrated the ability to grasp these complexities and provide advice and guidance to clients in the simplification and resolution thereof. I have the ability to work in unison with team members as well as to manage my team members proactively to ensure that deadlines are met, whilst maintaining a positive working environment.
