Veelal in de rol van projectleider, dan weer als ondernemer en als adviseur.Een rol die ik met veel plezier vervulde tot het opheffen van de Stichting Kenniscentrum per eind 2020.

Following my passion for innovation and entrepreneurship, I have pursued a (part-time, 1 day a week) PhD on the topic. I've researching how companies and managers can stimulate employees to behave innovatively and entrepreneurial, next to their 'ongoing' short-term demands, schedules and KPI's. My goal was to find which 'buttons' organizations can press to become more innovative and stay ahead of their competitors.From a theoretical standpoint: (contextual) ambidexterity, entrepreneurial behavior and innovation in organizations, including moderators and mediators on firm-, team- and individual level.

The National ThinkTank, consisting of a multidisciplinary team of about twenty highly talented PhD or Master students and graduates. During a period of four months the ThinkTank works on visionary and practical solutions for a topical societal issue such as education, healthcare, or sustainability. In 2017, the topic was the Dutch labour market and its changing dynamics (e.g. flexible work and freelancing, atomization) as well as vulnerable groups within the labour market. I focussed specifically on technological developments and the changes they will bring to the labour market: automation, digitization, robotization, and the like; as well as what these changing dynamics will require from companies and employees.The project was coached by McKinsey & Company and sponsored by a large number of Dutch universities, private companies and public institutions.

In the ±bit over a year that I worked here, I worked on both routine projects (job descriptions, job evaluations using the Hay method) as well as on innovative projects (developing a new way of working for one of the largest Dutch omni-channel retailers). The latter were my favorite, as was also shown in my enthusiasm starting internal projects to develop new knowledge and propositions, for example on agile working. Developed myself in client facing work, consulting, presenting, interviewing and (organizational) data analysis (qualitative and quantitative).
