Using art-based practices to design and deliver interesting, collaborative group learning experiences in secondary schools.

Mentored students through hesitancy and low self-esteem, encouraging embodiment of feelings and ideas. Emotions were physicalised and ideas were developed, refined and performed.Delivered a catalogue of ice-breakers, games and warm-ups to over 15 school groups resulting in participants singing in front of an audience for the first time.

Widening access and participation in higher education:Co-delivered year long, skills based learning course, integrating relevant coaching on inclusivity, unconscious bias and managing mental health.Facilitated confidence building workshops using role-play, improvisation and music for students from backgrounds underrepresented in theatre.Led reflective writing workshops resulting in participants sharing their struggles and frustrations.Delivered pastoral support to members with complex mental health conditions and SEND.Assistant directed company-composed musical rendition of A Midsummer Nights Dream. Company received standing ovations on all four public performances.

Worked with the visual artist to deliver lantern making workshops to various community groups accessing support in the Newham borough. Participants displayed their lanterns at the Newham Unlocked lantern festival.
