My experience involved a heavy workload with an emphasis on clinical diagnosis. I have gained valuable experience in general medicine and accident and emergency.All of my posts have been busy with an on-call commitment of one night in three to one in five. My work enabled me to gain experience in the initial assessment and management of wide varieties of medical emergencies. I am Nephrologist covering, nephrology duties, managing dialysis emergencies and also CAPD patients.Our center offers peritoneal dialysis to 30 CAPD patients using stay-safe and Baxter systems all followed in a weekly CAPD clinic, continuous dialysis (CVVHDF) using Prisma Machine is also available.I am also looking after acute renal patients in ICU and CCU.Renal Transplantation is available in our center at an average of 15 cases per year; my job includes assessment and management of patient’s pre – and post-transplantation.Running general nephrology clinic.Procedures: femoral and internal jugular catheters and performing kidney biopsy.My job is dual, Nephrology and Internal medicine working as a second on call for internal medicine cases including emergency cases in ER, the ward and ICU patients.NATIONAL GUARD HOSPITAL is one of the biggest hospitals (800 bed, highly equipped with very advanced facilities in most of medical subspecialties) in the Middle East, accredited by JOINT COMMESION INTERNATIONAL COMMETEE, the nephrology division in the hospital following more than 250 patients in haemodialysis, more than 60 patient peritoneal dialysis and more than 50 patient transplanted as cadaveric and living related renal transplant per year, prisma machines also are available in our center, we have very busy inpatient services.In-Patient Care:I have gained experience in long-term management of in-patients chronic illness.
