I draft a plethora of legal documents in varying areas of the law including, but not limited to, Conveyancing, Probate, Civil Practice and Family Law. I also draft correspondence between the Attorneys-at-law at Thompson, Badrie-Maharaj and Associates and clients, or other Attorneys-at-law. I undertake legal research in varying areas of the law including, but not limited to, Conveyancing, Probate, Civil Practice and Family Law. I attend Court hearings at the Magistrate’s Court, High Court, Family Court and Court of Appeal either solo or alongside Senior and Junior Attorneys in a variety of legal matters.

Worked as an Associate Professional (Attorney-at-Law) in the Legal Services Unit of the Ministry of Education. During that year, I conducted legal research and prepared legal advice and opinions on a variety of issues. I drafted letters, memoranda and other documents on legal matters. I analysed probable outcomes of matters using knowledge of legal precedents. I drafted and reviewed commercial agreements and employment contracts. I liaised with other departments in the Ministry of Education to obtain information with respect to all legal matters. I also liaised with the Attorney General’s Office on the Ministry of Education’s legal matters.My primary task at the Legal Services Unit however was the management of the Freedom of Information Unit of the Ministry of Education. I analysed Freedom of Information Act requests and formulated responses to Freedom of Information Act requests.
