Manage, implement, and promote transit and mobility programs in coordination with other local jurisdictions within the CapMetro service area. This exciting new role involves working to equitably expand our MetroBike network and engaging with Project Connect to ensure safe, comfortable, and accessible multi-modal accommodations.

My job is to make transit easy, affordable, fun and worry-free by building a high value, efficient, transit network that people want to use. I coordinate, program, and construct the pieces of CapMetro's transit system.

It is my pleasure to serve District 3 as the Vice Chair of the Airport Advisory Committee. The purpose of the board is to review and make recommendations to the Council on aviation projects that the Department of Aviation proposes for the capital improvements program, proposed aviation grants, aviation contracts, annual operating budget and quality of services at Austin Bergstrom International Airport.

I am responsible for managing and implementing the Urban Trails Master Plan. Passed unanimously by City Council on September 25, 2014 the Urban Trails Master Plan prioritizes Urban Trail construction by focusing on connectivity, wildlife habitat, water, tree preservation, and improved access to active transportation options. I regularly coordinate with internal City of Austin departments, external jurisdictions, and local public and private entities to build out the Urban Trail network, communicate with the public about the status of projects, and seek funding for the network implementation.

• Awarded over $11 million in grant funding benefiting the City of Austin Neighborhood Connectivity Division. • Managed cost, schedule, and quality of various bicycle and pedestrian projects including but not limited to the revision of the Transportation Criteria Manual and Subdivision Regulation Revisions, the Safe Bicycling and Walking Grant, the Safe Bicycling and Walking Campaign, and the Austin Bright Cyclist Grant.• Implemented the City of Austin Bicycle and Sidewalk Master Plan.• Managed Bicycle Ambassador Teams (BATs), interns and other volunteer programs.• Coordinated various bicycle and pedestrian projects: Austin to Manor Trail, Center for Transportation Research and Federal Highway Administration study of four bicycle devices, North Acres/Heritage Hills Bridge, Jollyville/360 improvements, the Lance Armstrong Bikeway, Lake Austin Bicycle Lanes, Barton Springs Bicycle Lanes, Exposition Bicycle Lanes.• Conducted outreach for the Neighborhood Connectivity Division • Liaison between the Neighborhood Connectivity Division, internal city departments, external associations, organizations, and institutions.

The Transportation, Access, and Equity course focused on studying bike share systems and the challenges involved with providing equitable access to those systems.

• Generate geospatial analysis to produce optimized paratransit routes.• Produce technical memos for development of regional, local and state-wide paratransit plans• Analyze and evaluate driver performance for the Corpus Christi and Texarkana Region

• Completed community analysis for a community of 1,000 members.• Received $2,000 USAID grant for construction and maintenance of a public computer lab, implemented and managed the completion of the lab.• Organized and lead a 3-day youth environmental camp.• Led Project Design and Management conferences. • Trained Peace Corps Volunteers in facilitation of Project Design and Management Seminar.• Served as Regional Leader and liaison between volunteers and host country agencies. • Created Regional Handbook and Plan for use in future site development.
