Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated instruction for students with an Individualized Education Plan/504 PlanProvide instructional support within the special education and general education classroom as needed in order to meet students’ needs. Teach small groups of students who need extra academic supportEngage in powerful, productive partnerships with staff, families and students to ensure that instruction meets the needs of all students. Serving as a classroom substitute when a teacher is out of the buildingSupport the front office staff with administrative tasks, answering phones, calling families, etc.

Organize and lead small and large group activities such as crafts, games, and swimming.Identify and respond to camper behavioral issues, and report concerns to camp leadership.Communicate with parents regarding participant experiences and expectations.Maintain accurate program records, including incident reports, logs, and daily attendance reports.

Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions to assist children in improving their reading skills and abilities to reach grade level expectations.Provide opportunities for family literacy involvement for students.Develop and maintain a weekly tutoring schedule for students which maximizes the number of students served and maximizes the weekly dosageIdentify students who qualify for tutoring services based on a Reading Corps designed assessmentProvide complete, accurate, and timely documentation of students’ weekly progressRegularly review student data to gauge the effectiveness of the literacy intervention being used and determine if a change is necessary.

Observe proceeding in Buffalo City Court, Erie County Court, Supreme Court, Federal District Court, and Federal Bankruptcy Court and take detailed notes.Shadow jury selection, court interpreter, court clerk, court officer, members of the IT department, and the law librarians.Provide assistance to Judges and their teams with administrative tasks.
