- Providing expert HR advice and support to managers and staff across both Local Authorities.- Promote HR policies and procedures in relation to equal opportunities and equal pay by reviewing and checking and advising on Job Descriptions and Person Specifications. - Working alongside the payroll team processing and dealing with payroll queries including, new starters, leavers, maternity, contract revisions, annual and other leave queries using Cyborg and Anite (HR Management Systems for HR and Payroll).- Debt recovery with respect to overpayments; administering and managing recovery plans for staff.- Managing HR documentation from leavers, contractors, maternity and paternity and sabbaticals.

Responsibility for 22 staff with 2 direct reports; 1 Administrator and 1 Book-keeper.Managing all HR documentation from new starter to leaver including drafting and issuing contracts of employment and termination, general correspondence in relation to sickness, annual and special leave, pay increments, training, conduct and performance and all payroll related matters.Company representative at Industrial Relations hearings and Designated Officer for liaison with the National Employment Council of Zimbabwe, National Association of Social Security and the Labour Office.Managing and organising staff training, team meetings and disciplinary hearings, sickness absence, interviews and performance meetings.Providing information and HR data to Senior Management on staff performance and staff turnover.Providing support and advice to the Board of Directors on all HR and payroll related matters.

Providing expert HR advice and support to senior management and staff across the Council, particularly Adult & Older People Services and Neighbourhood Regeneration divisions.Dealing with payroll queries including, new starters, leavers, pension queries using Resourcelink (HR Management System for HR and Payroll).Supporting and advising on disciplinary and grievance cases, sickness absence reviews, interviews and performance related matters as well as managing maternity counselling process.Liaising with Pensions and Payroll, acting as a key contact for redundancies and maternity cases.Monitoring and auditing Agency usage and vacancy list across the Council and assisting managers with the recruitment process, working in conjunction with the central recruitment team.Advising on Job Descriptions and conducing Job Evaluations using the GLPC scheme.Conducting induction meetings for new starters and managers as well as exit interviews.Collating and analysing accurate HR data on sickness, absence, disciplinary, grievance and employee relations cases and presenting this information at senior management meetings.Representative at the Assistant Director’s monthly senior management meetings to present and discuss sickness and absence statistics and actions taken by senior managers.
