How growing up in my parents restaurant shaped me,About a year after my parents opened the Waldhorn Restaurant in Pineville, NC I was born. Since the restaurant was still in the very early stages, it was very difficult for my parents to get away, and because of that my crib ended up under the stairs in the front of the restaurant where my parents could keep an eye out on me while continuing to grow their business. Ever since I can remember I was standing on a step stool doing the dishes, until I grew old enough to seat customers at their tables, then to waiting tables, cooking, bartending, and now to managing. Most people assume that working for my parents is such a hassle, often thinking that I've lost out on my childhood, however I think quite the opposite. My parents showed me the importance of team work, and how difficult it is to grow a company. When working for any company, in any industry, I make it my mission to gain a better understanding of what each department does and how they do it, this will allow me to do my job better, all while trying to make someone else's job easier, allowing us to all work smoothly as a team.
