About Nadia Mannell

Currently, as the Director of Cardano Academy, Education for Adoption is my prime focus. At Cardano Foundation, we are working to become a base layer for current and future financial and social systems. Our main areas of focus are operational resilience, education and adoption. My executive-level focus is on driving growth within an organization. I do this by developing and implementing strategy with a focus on key areas such as; structure set up for commercial success, sensing and interpreting market shifts, driving tech enablement and product-market-fit, streamlining business development, and sales, PR and marketing, recruiting specialized skills from my network, building strategic partnerships and ecosystem alliances, as well as aligning project-based initiatives to tackle operational inefficiencies that impact the business growth momentum and vision. My past experience in SaaS, consulting clients during web 1 to web 2 innovation, gave me extensive exposure to nuances of digital disruption, adoption and integration. Over 15 years, I managed business segments and teams, including new business sales, key account management, go-to-market and product positioning, customer support, project management, P&L, operations, recruitment, marketing, PR and Communications. My present experience within the investor and startup ecosystem has highlighted the early-to-mid-stage opportunities across Africa and the Middle East, which led to building Seed South Capital, a black and female-led firm I co-founded with my partner focused on the commercialisation of University and publicly financed institutional IP.With my experience in both corporate and venture, coupled with my love for digital disruption, and working with people, it's only natural I now focus a lot of my energy on using my skillset to drive initiatives bridging the gap for women in business, technology and web 3.
