While my role varies based on project and it's pace; it primarily involves preproduction processes with clients. This includes drafting questions for interviews, supporting storyline imagined by client, creating shot sheets, schedules, etc. On-set role varies as well, whether it's conducting interviews, directing talent, or camera operating- I'm typically coordinating in support of our DP on shoots and ensuring we have all the shots needed for the edit.

During the fall 2020 election season, my role in the DFL included drafting long-form written communication materials such as Op-eds, newsletter stories, and press releases. I took part in transcribing press conferences, formatting newsletter layouts, and social media copy for relevant issues. I gained experience in staying up to date on breaking news and tracking public policy changes that would later need to be communicated

My role in the Minnesota Budget Project, a group within the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, has given me the chance to utilize strategic messaging skills in understanding how to effectively communicate to audiences about legislative tax policies that are affecting their community. I have took part in creating Facebook Ads, designing flyers for a media workshop held at the Capitol, updating web content, writing social media copy, and collaborating within different teams at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits.
