Meet weekly with treatment team to discuss clients’ progress and treatment needs. Discuss with client’s psychiatrist possible medication issues and Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) such as Suboxone and Naltrexone. Maintain clinical notes and files for clients. Managed follow-up components for longitudinal research study of 800 young adults with the Center for Prevention and Early Intervention. Managed a variety of components with data collection of the PATHS to PAX program implemented in 27 Baltimore City Schools. Oversaw data collection and quality of data collection in the field, including ensuring reliability and validity of tracking and contact data in a large database. Maintained records and reports to reduce loss to follow-up population. Assisted in the development of operational procedures and protocols for implementing all assessment components. Provided referrals for information requests and crisis situations for participants and their families. Managed petty cash account and created monetary incentive checks for participants within the Prevention Program and PATHS to PAX program. Supervised up to 15 research staff with data collection, student/teacher assessments, and office duties.

Facilitated 3 groups in the Baltimore VA with severally mentally ill patients with substance abuse. Focus areas per group included: relapse prevention with dual diagnosis patients, smoking cessation in patients with severe mental illness, and teaching social skills. Assisted principle investigators on a pilot study on smoking cessation with severally mentally ill patients by conducting literature reviews and researching current treatments. Compiled educational sessions for a developing manual for the pilot study on smoking cessation. Conducted therapy sessions using cognitive behavioral therapy with an individual client that had been attending the Partial Hospitalization Program at the Baltimore VA.

Maintained a therapeutic environment for the children residing at Villa Maria Residential Treatment Center. Created opportunities for corrective emotional experiences and socialization as well as fostering relationships which promoted development and growth in children with emotional and behavioral disorders. Implemented prescribed therapeutic treatment activities designed to meet individual goals. Trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI). Performed daily and weekly note taking on children’s behaviors and progress. Attended monthly treatment team meetings to review individual children’s progress.

Provided support to children with developmental disabilities and their families within the home. Guided children in completing daily chores, reinforced appropriate behavior, and acted as a positive role model. Assisted families in response to acute emotional or behavioral symptoms exhibited by the child. Documented each child’s behaviors and progress on a daily basis.

Provided one-on-one intervention as an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapist in the home of two young siblings with autism. Used discrete trial training and other behavioral modification techniques to assist in building language, social, academic, and self-help/daily living skills. Attended monthly team meeting to discuss progress and learn new behavioral modification skills.
