Revitalized in 2020 with the relaunch of the business, I provide support to companies looking to build their brand and market. My role focuses on assisting in the marketing and brand activities, working directly with designers, artists, marketing specialists, photographers/videographers and web developers in realizing plans and strategies to help companies build their business.

Contracted by the company to provide business process analysis services for a regional financial institution (FI). My work includes engaging with stakeholders across the FI to develop process maps and procedural manuals for digitisation projects, providing input to digitization solutions to be deployed, and training end users on the solutions. Activities also include developing Systems & Role Matrices and interactive forms, producing user and procedural manuals for internal improvement initiatives and working with the team to define solution requirements.

Focusing on all elements of digital transformation and operational efficiency, my role included engaging with customers to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, introduce automation, implement digitisation and digitalisation strategies and solutions, and embrace change. I managed and coordinated IT projects for implementation at client sites, and worked closely with Project Managers, Software Developers and System Engineers to analyse, identify, develop and introduce systems to support transformation strategies within government, educational and private organisations, ensuring that the solutions provided met clients' current and future needs. I engaged with internal and external stakeholders from executive management to end users to capture requirements, challenges and needs, and designed solutions and strategies to address those requirements.

Taught graduate students (both theory and practical) in the areas of e-business, business strategy development, business process re-engineering, database design and web development, including all aspects of functional programming and/or object-oriented design, use of content management systems and e-commerce application development, scripting and querying languages, system analysis and relation systems. I also supervised students to the successful completion of their research papers and projects in the areas of e-business applications, business systems development, information management systems, mobile application development and web applications.

Within this regional inter-governmental organisation, my responsibilities ranged from the management of the IT infrastructure and equipment within the organisation to the development of IT Strategy documents, preparation of project proposal documents for donor-agency funding inclusive of budgets, timelines and SMART objectives, and the establishment and coordination of a regional Information and Technology committee with members from 15 member states. I conducted needs assessment exercises across the Members of the organisation for enhanced efficiency, collaboration and communication, and based on the analysis of the results, developing requirements documentation and implementing solutions for document management, online communications and collaboration, resulting in a significant decrease in the review, development and revision of standards and an increase in the development rate of standards. I successfully managed the implementation of ICT components of EDF-funded projects (totalling over €700,000). My role also involved networking with (and representing the organisation for) entities such as the CARICOM Secretariat, National Standards Bureaus in the 15 CARICOM Member States and the Dominican Republic, Donor Agencies such as IDB, the European Commission and CDB, and other regional organisations including CDEMA, Caribbean Export, CIDA, CRNM/OTN and CKLN.

In this role, I managed the marketing launch of the new Wing of Sheraton Mall, including organizing press coverage, guest speakers, catering and entertainment. I also coordinated and carried out general marketing activities for Sheraton Mall, inclusive of the development of press releases, radio ads and promotional in-Mall activities with an aim to drive traffic to the Mall.

In this short-term role, I performed an intensive market study on academic and professional e-commerce programs throughout Canada, including extensive online research, and conducting interviews with both students and Directors of the programs. This led to the development of a product and marketing strategy for existing Master and Executive Master of E-Commerce programs at Dalhousie University.
