As an experienced Work Transition Coordinator at YWCA-St. John's, I assist clients with program coordination, career coaching, resume and cover letter development, and job brokering. In this role, I work closely with women and gender-diverse individuals, spanning various backgrounds, ages and immigration statuses.Honored as a fellow for YWCA Canada's Disrupt & Dismantle! Leadership Fellowship, I embarked on transformative learning on the topic of Gender-Based Violence. My research dived deep into the realm of Online Hate Speech, striving to cultivate a safer, more inclusive digital landscape within my community.Prior to my current position, I earned a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences from Memorial University of Newfoundland & Labrador and worked in the fields of Geology and Geography for a number of years. Proficient in both English and Spanish, I leverage this bilingualism to foster cross-cultural connections and drive impactful dialogues.
