As an analyst on the corporate intelligence team I conducted robust research regarding the various compliance and due diligence risks a client might face when entering into business with a particular individual or company. The focus of my work the investigation of risks related to money laundering, fraud, political exposure, reputation and litigation in Europe and North America. My clients were multinational corporations, government departments and private individuals.

Origin Systems is a company that identified a need for electronic, legal filing within the corporate sector. As a student intern I received a client portfolio, which entailed converting masses of hard copy legal agreements to easily-accessible electronic files on a filing system developed by the company.

The Extended Degree Program of the University of Stellenbosch aims to provide academic and social support to students from a previously disadvantaged background in order to ease the transition from high school to university. Students enrolled in the EDP complete their degrees over 4 years instead of 3 and complete modules aimed at strengthening their basic grammar, language, writing and critical thinking skills.
