12 years of experience within the field of humanitarian and development work. Specialized in counter trafficking, sexual abuse and exploitation of women and children, migration, and prostitution. I began my career by doing outreach social work in the red-light district of Copenhagen and have with time moved into a more strategic behind-the-desk position. My experience and transferable expertise include developing national guidelines as an IOM consultant in Cambodia, providing inputs and technical direction in improving, developing, and implementing new strategies and procedures. Furthermore, I have experience in managing projects, programs, and activities in small, medium, and big organizations (NGO’s, UN, and the Danish authorities). I have a big passion for developing new projects and activities, and I am especially motivated in the first developing steps of the process. I thrive in multicultural settings, and I am highly adaptive to new situations including high-stress level surroundings. I am a strong networker with experience in establishing and maintaining strong partnerships and liaison with government ministries, civil society organizations and other stakeholders. I believe working together and joining minds and differences creates better outcomes and results. I always focus on high quality, long term, and sustainable solutions - and good communication! I want to push projects, employees, and organizations to do better, aim higher and think outside the box.
