Kishi is an authentic sushi bar that serves traditional Japanese food and organic green tea. Created organisational methods in order to maintain restaurant stock. Maintained good professional relationships between Kishi and the suppliers. MYOB software was used to pay companies invoices and wages. Liaised with clients requiring private functions, and organised the events to their specification. Listened to the customers dietary needs and designed specific menus to meet their requests. Hired new staff, trained each staff member in front of house work, how to communicate with customers and build relationships with the clients. Created weekly rosters to suit each staff member, set up communication via email and sent fortnightly rosters. Designed menus and established the price list by considering ingredients needing to be purchased, the maximum cost of those ingredients, the staff wages and equipment required to produce the dishes. Researched local organic ingredients to entice the local customers.

Wabi Sabi is an authentic Japanese bed and breakfast that is situated in the middle of a Japanese garden and has a tea ceremony house available to clients. Wabi Sabi and Kishi are run by the same owners.•Organising the Wabi Sabis opening event including; providing staff, refreshments, food, tours and required instruments for the speeches and slideshow. •Organising tour groups for school students and Japanese exchange students to experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Making sure there was enough information provided, managing the food for the tour, ordering the required ingredients and equipment used throughout the ceremony. •Encouraging clients to travel to Kishi, bringing in more revenue for Kishi and growing the clientele base. •Designing Menus for tours to include dietary needs, longer lasting foods suitable for the weather, and availability of the ingredients

•Researched each garments designer in order to answer clients specific inquiries. •Designed shops displays to increase sales and attract customers. Ensuring the shop front was always presentable and pleasing to the eye. Maintaining a clean shop front.•Follow certain steps to ensure a customer sale by; engaging the customers, asking what their needs are in a genuine and friendly way, trying to find a garment suitable to the customers need and body type, sharing information about the garment on where it was made, the designer and the fabrics used.•Miin also provided tailoring for certain garments to ensure the customer was satisfied with the garments fit. I would organise the tailoring for specific customers, learning to pin the garments as a result encouraging more revenue for the business.
