I founded the Rapid Results Institute (now RE!NSTITUTE) with my Schaffer Consulting colleagues in 2007, and I led its growth through 2021. I currently serve on its Board of Directors and on other nonprofit Boards. Since October 2019, I have been spending a good part of my time supporting activists in Lebanon who are trying to create a better country out of the debris left behind in the wake of years of rampant corruption and irresponsible governance. I have also been advising organizational and change leaders on introducing new ways of working that inspire higher levels of collaboration, innovation, and execution - within and across organizations. During my time at RE!NSTITUTE, I worked with the World Bank and several development agencies to introduce 100-Day Challenges (Rapid Results Initiatives) into their programs in sub-Saharan Africa. I also led collaborative efforts with premier organizations around the world, to infuse urgency and results-orientation into their programs. These include:◘ NESTA, where we co-developed the People Powered Results program that continues to create and improve delivery models at the National Health Service in the UK. ◘ Community Solutions, where we co-developed the 100-Day Boot Camps that helped more than 60 cities in the US fight chronic and veteran homelessness.◘ The Prime Minister's Office of the UAE, where we co-developed the Government Accelerators program that continues to help government agencies in the UAE and the region deliver radically improved services.◘ Social Accountability International, where we co-developed the Ten Squared Program that improved workplace safety and health in supply chain companies in Brazil and Turkey, by bridging the divide between workers and managers. My work with RE!INSTITUTE was recognized In 2012 by Foreign Policy Magazine. I was named # 25 on their list of Top 100 Global Thinkers. And the Yale School of Management honored my leadership work by asking me to serve as a Donaldson Fellow of the School in 2012 and 2013.My professional career started in Lebanon at USAID and Save the Children. The work I did at the time remains a source of immense pride, despite it being in the middle of a horrifying civil war. It inspired my unwavering belief that it is possible to make good things happen, no matter how dire the circumstances and how bleak the prospects of success.
