Associate scientist with heart for science! What motivates me is working in a company with a mission to help those patients in need.During my BSc. and MSc. studies, I gained a broad theoretical knowledge on all aspects of drug discovery and development. A great advantage is that I learned to look beyond my specialisation in Drug Disposition and Safety Assessments. Besides this knowledge, I learned a lot of different skills from a variety of internships. By adding the development, improvement and validation of analytical methods, writing plans and reports, having CMC-responsibilities (and many more) to these practical skills, I grew a lot. Currently I am working at Sanquin where I develop and validate ligand binding assays according to regulatory guidelines. But! The best thing of all, while putting these skills into practice, is being part of this exciting fast-moving world! I was thought that the way of progress was neither swift nor easy - Marie Curie.

  - Development and validation of bioanalytical assays for the quantitation and qualification of antibodies and biomarkers according to ISO15189/EMA/FDA regulations (under GxP). - Writing of SOPs, (validation) protocols/reports.- Automation platforms Tecan & Hamilton.- Troubleshooting.- Innovation and/or improvement of newly developed or existing methods.- Supervision of students and managing lab personnel.- Project and stakeholder management.- Presentation of research findings at scientific conferences.- CMS content manager (sanquin.org/biologics & sanguin.org/vingerprik).- Chair Young Blood committee (organisation for young professionals within Sanquin). This includes the organisation of a large number of events/workshops/symposia, target group engagement, setting up collaborations with both internal and external parties and much more.
