Jeans for Genes Day is a national day when people wear their jeans to raise much-needed funds for research done by the Children's Medical Research Institute, into birth defects and diseases such as cancer, epilepsy, and a range of genetic disorders in children.Eventeamwork has been engaged to manage the volunteer program of around 2000 volunteers across Australia for the Jeans for Genes day campaign.My duties and responsibilities included:• Marketing content creation (using Adobe master suite), content copy writing as well as managing social media marketing. • Recruitment of volunteers, organising and informing volunteers of event through online communication and social media platforms. • Spreading awareness of the event, Jeans for Genes Day, through social media.• Working closely with the Volunteer Manager • Point of contact and liasion for a diverse group of volunteers and donators. • Developing databases and recruiting volunteers• Setting up schedules, run sheets, process and operational documentation and events coordination manuals. • Designing and creating team leader manuals and volunteer manifest. • Supporting event managers in diverse range of administrative tasks for the effective delivery of the volunteer program• As well as a variety of duties and responsibilities such as a Location Leader at Museum Station, on the day of the event.
