About Nadine Bongaerts-Duportet, Ph.D.

I am an entrepreneurial scientist who believes that biology will drive sustainable innovation in the coming decades. I am both passionate about biotech as bringing people together to translate science into innovative commercial products.Through Amplicon Advisors, I am currently supporting biotech companies / investors / network organizations with missions that aim to boost the bioeconomy, improve our environment and/or our health.In my latest role as Chief Innovation Officer at the French cell based meat startup Gourmey, I am worked in a high paced interdisciplinary team to revolutionise meat production, starting with Foie Gras 🦆🥫.Before GOURMEY, I spent the past 10 years studying biotechnology and engineering cells with new functions. In parellel, I worked on building bridges between science, business and society. I joined Hello Tomorrow in 2013 to support deep tech startups with their journey to bring laboratory inventions to the market and co-founded Science Matters in 2011 to help researchers, universities and companies with their science communication.
