The money is pooled together and loaned out at zero percent interest to women-led Ventures selected by the Activators. All Ventures are revenue generating with export potential and are creating a better world through their business model or their product and service. The loans are paid back over five years and then loaned out again, creating a perpetual fund which we will pass on to our daughters, nieces and granddaughters. The women Activators in each cohort become the de-facto ‘team’ of the selected Ventures bringing their buying power as early customers, their expertise and advice and their vast networks to help grow the businesses.

Also responsible for the translation, user training and support, development of training and marketing tools, and user and technical documentation. Green Municipal Fund (GMF) Transportation Sector Research - For the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, conducted a study to determine how the GMF can best help municipalities reduce the environmental impacts related to transportation while increasing social and economic benefits. This project involved identifying high-impact areas and best practices; assessing high-level benefits and identifying key markets and priority needs related to the best practices; understanding stakeholder perspectives; and summarizing our findings in a final report.Translation Bureau Quality Enhancement Action Plan - Working closely with the Chief Quality Officer, developed an action plan highlighting measures to improve the quality of linguistic services provided by the Bureau. This project involved conducting consultations with key stakeholders, reviewing background documentation, and synthesizing findings to develop the action plan. Reviewing the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) Cleantech Program - Reviewed the cleantech component of the CTA program managed by Global Affairs Canada. This project included conducting consultations with various stakeholders, as well as conducting research, to assess the capabilities of Canadian firms in the cleantech sector; identify U.S. hubs that would be a match for these capabilities; and make recommendations regarding the requirements for potential participants and the most suitable structure for the program.

In 2014-2015, the school decided to undertake a comprehensive sustainability audit. The objective of the sustainability audit was to estimate the environmental footprint of the school, and propose concrete measures and actions to reduce that footprint.Highlights of responsibilities and achievements as a member of the Sustainability Audit Committee include:- Determining scope and objectives of the project and proposal evaluation criteria;- Evaluating proposals received from 3 potential suppliers;- Participating in meetings and site visits with the selected supplier;- Providing information and feedback to the supplier related to certain relevant sustainability aspects of the school, including waste management, biodiversity, procurement and sourcing policies, and community engagement.- Reviewing the Phase I and Phase II reports prepared by the supplier;- Preparing a mind map summarizing the recommendations put forth to improve the school's sustainability performance.
