Being brought up by an airline pilot and having 3 sisters who all worked in different roles for various airlines, I was always going to go into travel in some way. I found my niche immediately in the commercial department at Intasun and discovered a love of spreadsheets and commercial analysis, understanding how a package holiday is put together, priced and promoted. Setting margins and profit analysis were the most exciting parts. Moving to Kuoni gave me my introduction to hotel contract negotiation and the Caribbean and Florida, and there is no doubt that this is my 'comfort zone' - where I have my best connections and feel most at home. I even owned property in Florida for several years and often worked out of Delray Beach during that time. I discovered southern Africa a few years later and found myself falling in love all over again with some incredible destinations and wonderful people. Then followed the Middle East and I started to get to know another amazing part of the world. I still get excited about getting on a plane, whether for business or leisure - and I hope never to lose that passion and excitement for what I do and for the job that AMG does for its clients.
