I bring over twenty years of professional experience to my role as Director of Healthy Communities, where I leverage a blend of research, analysis, community engagement skills, and substantial food systems experience to facilitate impactful change. The scope of our work ranges from advising local governments to engaging with health advocates and community leaders, ensuring access to nutritious food for all.I'm engaged with communities across the country as a Food Systems Content Expert at Blue Zones. There, I bring specialized competencies at the intersection of food, health, and well-being to local staff teams. Our collective efforts have yielded substantial improvements in food access, reflecting dedication to fostering healthy communities and commitment to celebrating diverse cultures within our food systems.As a first-generation Ukrainian-American and descendant of Holodomor survivors, my food systems work is grounded in equity and justice, with deep understanding of historical trauma.I'm also a mom, dog mom, avid gardener, herbalist, and University of Michigan football fan.
