An experienced educator with a record of successful higher education executive level leadership. With over 15 years of experience as a Vice President for Student Affairs, Dan is especially passionate about helping low-income and first generation students achieve academic, personal, and professional success.Dan is skilled in a wide variety of areas including shared governance, leadership, student and staff development, student mental health, orientation and first year programs, civic engagement and volunteerism, campus safety, emergency preparedness and crisis management, residence life and housing, intercollegiate athletics, Greek-letter organizations, and diversity/equity and inclusion, He is also skilled at building highly collaborative and effective collaborative teams. He is active on the national level, having served in multiple leadership roles, including NODA Board, ACPA Commission II Directorate, NASPA Program Reviewer and National Conference Committee, and NCAA Grant Reviewer. Dan has received numerous honors, including the NASPA Bob E. Leach Award for Outstanding Service to Students.
