This is particularly close to my heart. It’s an website/blog/creative collective aimed at telling the stories of transplant Brooklynites and Philadelphians now living in either city. It also looks at the culture scenes in both places.

Associate producers have to be a jack of all trades at CBSN and anticipate the needs of our newscasts. I assist in writing and gathering elements for segments throughout the day. That includes suggesting guests, creating graphics, and in some instances editing video.

When listening to the CBS Radio broadcasts (some podcasts) you were most likely listening to some of my work. As a writer I was responsible for conducting in-house/remote interviews and editing them for distribution to one of our 500 affiliate stations. I also edited reporter packages, monitor wires and work to confirm information about some of the country's (and world's) biggest stories.

I was typically night side reporting which means I saw a wide range of stories. One day I’d be covering Stevie Wonder’s secret pop-up concert and the next I’d be covering an undercover police officer shot in the line of duty. The variety keeps me ready and allows me to sharpen my craft of story telling.

Trenton, Nj/Philadelphia, Pa

Lead the station’s coverage on all things Trenton/Mercer County. My stories focused corruption of Trenton Mayor Tony Mack’s administration as well as Trenton’s struggle to find an identity beyond the shadow of the capital and one of the nations highest poverty and unemployment rates. Most times I was looking through the lens of my camera shooting, writing, editing and reporting these gripping stories.

Reported on a wide range of topics in New York City’s largest borough, Brooklyn. During most of my tenure at News 12 I focused exclusively on Brooklyn and its breathtakingly diverse community. At the time, Brooklyn’s renaissance and gentrification was in its beginning stages. I extensively covered the development of Atlantic Yards which eventually became Barclay’s Center and home to The Brooklyn Nets. It’s a story that’s incredibly nuanced, but I was able to keep our viewers informed, engaged and eager to know the latest developments. I also chronicled Brooklyn’s growing and unique enterprising spirit. I shot, wrote and edited nearly every story for air. I covered a retired Brooklynite bee-keeping on his roof, the Brooklyn Brewery’s rapid growth, its ability to take advantage of a slow economy and stay in Brooklyn, and Brooklyn Fashion Week{end}, a three Fashion trist featuring upcoming fashion designers, it’s the fashion word’s version of off-broadway, but with more style.

Covered a variety of stories in the Delmarva area. I was responsible for pitching and turning at least one story for evening newscasts, but I also served as a newscast writer. Churning out at least 3-5 others stories per newscast.
