About Nadya Aleksandrova

Nadya Aleksandrova is an exceptional and world-respected Coach of performers and coaches at all levels in Rhythmic Gymnastics. She has created Olympic medallists and has experience coaching at all levels of competitions from Olympic Games to National Championships. As a coach of coaches her expertise is recognised by the FIG, and in 2007, she was appointed to the FIG Academies Working Group, a position she still holds. She has coached in every continent of the World. Originally a successful gymnast for the Bulgarian National Team, she graduated from the High Institute for Physical Culture in Sport, in Sofia, Bulgaria and began Coaching for Trakia Club in Plovdiv where she enjoyed success with several national gymnasts in the 1980s and ’90s including silver medalists in 1995, World Championships and silver medalists in 1996 Olympic Games. After accepting an invitation to join British Gymnastics World Class Coaching program funded by the National Lottery, she was instrumental in improving Team GB’s world ranking by 22 positions. Currently working as an expert on the RG FIG Coaching Academies, RG FIG Age group programme (of which Nadya is one of the authors of the programme) and a coach, choreographer and advisor to a number of international and club teams, including the Thailand RG National Team, Argentina National Team, Gibraltar National Team, and Wales National Team.
