Graduated with a Bachelor of Agriculture from Syiah Kuala University Faculty of Agriculture, Aceh, Indonesia, Nadya pursued her master's degree and currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Kindai University, Faculty of Agriculture, Nara, Japan under the support of The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. She is working under the supervision of Associate Professor Sota Koeda to identify a begomovirus resistance in Solanaceae crops (tomato, pepper, and eggplant) utilizing the field-based and marker-assisted breeding techniques. Her other focus involved the monitoring of dynamism in begomovirus evolution to the robustness of begomovirus resistance materials in the field of Indonesia.
