The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) of the Department of Transportation (DOT) awards over 9 billion dollars in Federal Grants annually through the Transportation Electronic Award and Management Web (TEAM-Web) System.The TEAM-Web application is a Grants Management application that was designed and developed to fulfill government mandates for increased accessibility by the public to the Federal Assistance Programs and the replacement of paper-laden processes with electronic processes. Ninety-Eight percent of the 9 billion dollars in Federal Grants funding is applied for, reviewed, approved and managed electronically, using the TEAM-Web application. It allows individuals from recipient organizations across the nation to log onto any computer with access to the Internet and perform all the necessary functions to apply for Federal Transit grants, execute awards, manage projects, submit all the required reports, etc. FTA employees are able to use the system for the application review and approval process, project oversight, interagency reporting requirements, and more. The TEAM-Web system is currently the only application of its kind to be Certified and Accredited within the Department of Transportation
