I’m currently working for Pakistan Kuwait Investment Company Limited (PKIC) in Karachi, Pakistan as Vice President in the Corporate Banking Group (CBG). In July 2014 I joined PKIC and was mandated to lead an integrated team of corporate relationship managers to originate and structure solutions for clients’ long and short term financial needs with a focus on new Corporate Tier 1 and Tier 2 relationships. Responsible to manage asset quality by closely monitoring credit, market and operational risk of current exposure, as well as, new transactions through constant portfolio analysis and frequent customer calls. Remain closely involved in the annual budgeting exercise and planning to meet short and long term goals relating to corporate lending activities.From Feb 2010 till June 2014 I worked with HBL Pakistan, in Commercial Banking Group (CBG) on the business side in relationship management. Initially I was assigned a portfolio of existing CBG relationships and sales targets for acquisition of new business through offering of working capital, trade finance and guarantee based facilities. Within six months of my joining HBL, I was assigned a new assignment of leading a team of commercial relationship managers, with the intent of ensuring HBL’s share of the client’s wallet be increased on deposits, trade and cash collections business. Both facility and non-facility customers were targeted, for export discounting, collection, resulting in significant increase in client base, volumes and associated income. In parallel to these efforts, value added services such as cash management collection mandates were executed with four major deals for new CBG clients. I was awarded top rating for the last three years from 2011 - 2013.Prior to 2010 I spent almost four years with HSBC in Pakistan in relationship management roles in Global Banking (CIB) and Local Corporate (CMB).
