Under the direction of the Director, Information Systems, this position provides reporting, analytical and project management support for the daily operational requests received by the Systems Development division of the Information Systems team. Specific duties and responsibilities include:• Assist with all report requests from internal and external customers• Investigate and troubleshot various system issues to determine the program and/or process changes required to resolve the issues• Assist with projects to upgrade and revise the company’s proprietary software applications.• Serve as a liaison between Systems/IT and Operational Business Units • Gather system requirements from subject matter experts • Assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications • Develop user stories and create task-level tickets for Systems Developers • Assist with testing software upgrades and new applications • Ensure that system updates and new applications fulfill customer requirements• Help the Systems Development team with creating new systems to streamline business processes, facilitate new improvements and support compliance with industry standards• Communicate effectively to management through meetings, reports and presentations while identifying progress, challenges and solutions for all responsibilities listed above• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

• Define projects based on technical requirements, schedule planning and implementation and quality control of customer deliverables.• Coordinate and oversees all aspects of security projects (VA/CPT, SIEM, WAF, DPI, DDoS) from proposal and development through closeout.• Develop, plan and manage implementation of activities for extremely highly complex projects/programs for external/internal customers.• Provide leadership and coordination for assigned projects using a matrix team concept.• Attend various governmental and general meetings.• Provide status updates to management and customers as required.• Perform Quality Checks (QC) on all As-Builts for assigned projects as required by contracts.• Retain detailed records of daily work/project activities (Playbooks) for future reference.• Understand and adhere to company policies and practices.• Accountable for timely project completion and delivery.• Responsible for resource requirements/allocation.• Develop policies and, procedures, and systems to produce required reporting.

• Oversee the support of the Mobile Office environment and associated police vehicle technology solutions including infrastructure, video, communications and interaction/integration of applications.• Lead troubleshooting efforts of highly complex issues related to application and connection performance issues, malfunctions and outages of the Mobile Office environment.• Perform software diagnostics to source and resolve problems and issues affecting the system.• Coordinate and communicate activities with various internal and external technical and business partners.• Responsible for determining root cause analysis and implementation of any corrective actions and policies.• Provide consultative guidance and directions to management and customers on the capabilities and utilization of the Mobile Office Environment.• Serve as the primary technical resource in analyzing business requirements and overall strategy. Determine and propose appropriate technical solution and systems architecture that aligns to business and management objectives.• Provide technical guidance to a team of technical professionals that includes Commonwealth employees and Commonwealth contracted vendors.• Provide leadership and direction on new PSP initiatives.• Monitor and track Mobile Office operational issues and ensure the Mobile Office environment is functioning efficiently.• Oversee and participate in special projects.

• Provide infrastructure design in support of application and/or infrastructure needs.• Interpret business customer needs to a technical design. • Enforce infrastructure architectural standards through the ongoing review and acceptance of Technical Solutions' project deliverables.• Assess and determine server specifications to meet project requirements, including number and size of non-host (distributed) servers, storage specifications, security membership, operating systems, etc. • Produce project deliverables/documentation in the form of detailed "build" specifications. Routinely design and specify servers in multi-platform infrastructure.• Assess and determine network design specifications to meet project requirements, including all connectivity, network equipment, network placement, data center placement, IP address assignments, and firewall rules. • Produce project deliverables/documentation in the form of detailed "build" specifications and network diagrams.• Provide Network/IP address assignments for non-project requests. • Perform non-project technical consultation with Customers, Client Advocates, or Application Owners.• Assess existing network infrastructure and produce detailed network diagrams to meet special requests to respond to requests associated with a security compliance audit.• Mentor less experienced Engineers.

• LAN admin duties, user set-up, profile modifications, systems backup/restore. • Root-cause analysis on recurring problems and implementing appropriate solutions. • Producing Shell scripts to perform / automate daily tasks as per corporate requirements.• Software upgrades and patches to servers and client workstations. • Supervising and providing technical support to local and remote service staff of 14 technicians.• Maintaining detailed on-line process and support documentation of all systems installation, configuration, daily activities, system backups, on-site and remote Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and user security configuration.

• LAN admin, Client admin and management, backups, upgrades and patch management.• Set-up, software/hardware installation and support at user and department level. • Tier-3 software/hardware support and root-cause determination, analysis and resolution. • Train and mentor local operations and helpdesk staff. • Evaluate software and hardware requirements and document optimum set-up parameters.
