In 2014, when I was a student, I signed a contract with NICICO company to optimize the drilling and blasting patterns. This work was my first industrial project. With respect to rock mass characteristics, I proposed different patterns led to valuable results that not only reduced mining costs but also addressed backbreak and fragmentation problems. From 2017 to 2022, I gained impressive experience in mining at Kavian Madan Arya company. Scheduling, mining design, slope stability analysis, drilling and blasting design were parts of my expertise in this company. By attending in different courses such as “Pit design and optimization” and “Modelling and Mineral Resources Estimation Using GEOVIA SURPAC Software”, I became proficient in mining industry. At present, I am working in one of the biggest open-pit mines as a senior mining engineer. Followings are part of my skills in mining:* Drilling and Blasting design with focusing on reducing mining costs and optimal outcomes* Mine scheduling and design with GEMCOM, SURPAC and Civil 3D software* Slope stability analysis (including geotechnical logs, detecting hazardous zones, modeling with SLIDE software and monitoring) * Performing rock mechanics tests (one of my responsibilities in my current job is supervising rock mechanics tests)“Find out what you like doing best, and get someone to pay you for doing it.”-Katharine Whitehor
