Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Movement Disorders Program. * Facilitate and support nursing care in the inpatient and outpatient settings for all patients with movement disorders. * Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to plan and implement care & treatment.* Provide specific assessment and interventions for patients with movement disorders (e.g. Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) programming; program and refill the Interatheacal Baclofen Pump (ITB). * Responsible for the budgeting, ordering, assessing surgery equipments in relation with movement disorders (e.g. Radionics Station, Microelectrode Recording( Lead Point), Leksell G Frame, Brain Lab) * Coordinate and organize teaching and educational events related to movement disorders (e.g. Surgery for movement disorders; Stereotactic Functional Neurosurgery Symposium).* Develop Arabic patient education materials (e.g. Stereotactic Brain Biopsy and Parkinson Disease).* Developed and implemented policies & protocols for (DBS) and (ITB).* Follow up with patients and families in the inpatient and outpatient with phone consultations. * Designed and maintain a; Developed a database and forms to collect & analyze patient information. * Participate with the movement disorders team physicians in publishing peer review articles.* In collaboration with medical and nursing staff, responsible for the assessment, planning, and implantation and evaluation of care to specific movement disorder patients. * Function as a specialist nurse to provide support and education to staff and patients.* Performs diagnostic and therapeutic studies and procedures; provides direct and indirect patient care. * Serves as a resource person for staff caring for movement disorder patients.* Assists in the development, implementation, and reporting of various research studies and protocols.
