Duties and Responsibilities• Establish and implement a system to effectively monitor HSE compliance.• Provide regular feedback on HSE performance throughout the contractperiod.• Recommend appropriate action against Supply Chain Partners which fail toprovide adequate HSE protection for employees and any other personsand parties in connection with the Project.• When on site, comply with all HSE policies and procedures and any sitespecific HSE requirements.• Collates overall project HSE statistics and include in management reportfor project and corporate management teams.• Ensure that once individual Contractors are appointed to carry out worksthey submit a construction phase HSE plan incorporating all specificinformation that is included in the Pre-Tender HSE Plan and their specificcontract construction activities including identification of risks.• Ensure that all HSE plans, method statements, risk assessments and anyother HSE documentation including fire and emergency plans are reviewedfor compliance and signed off prior to work commencing.Ensuring that the Supervision Consultant’s and Contractors’ HSE programsare structured in accordance with the requirements of this Policy as wellas the national and international HSE Acts, Regulations and ApprovedCodes of Practice (Cop’s). &report to the project management team on any identified nonconformancesfor necessary action and correction by the violating party.• Investigate direct and root/underlying causes of accidents/incidents andadvise recommendations to prevent recurrence of the same.• Record and follow up on any noted safety hazards and non-conformancesto HSE regulators and parties having jurisdiction.• Oversee/supervise the conduct of the Engineers’ and Contractors’ HSE andconstruction personnel.• Review and approve the Contractors’ HSE documents, submittals,drawings, etc. to verify their suitability, adequacy and conformance.• Measure the HSE performance of the Engineers

The site areasafety organization and fire protections required.Monitoring First aid case and corrective action to avoid its recurrence.• Widening a shoulder or section of pavement. This may include adding apassing lane.• Installing rumble strips or other warning devices. To meet the definitionof HSIP, these• Adding traffic-calming features such as speed humps or caution lights.• Removing existing roadside hazards.• Adding guardrails, construction or traffic lane barriers, or crashattenuators, which are devices designed to reduce the amount of damagedone to a vehicle during an accident.• Adding or modifying structures to reduce the chances of a vehicle-wildlifecollision.• Adding signs or signals in school zones or at pedestrian or bicycle crossings.• Conducting safety projects on high-risk rural roads.• Monitor the safety compliance of the project works.• Conduct site visits to ensure contractors' compliance with ABU DHABIWORK ZONE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MANUAL• Monitor the safety of the traffic diversions where roadway repairs orconstruction are taking place and ensure compliance with the regulations• Assisting in Road Safety Audits
