Serve as a lead for Wildfire and Forest Resilience Program within the Bay Area District of California State Parks in Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco and Napa Counties. Work collaboratively with State Park staff and partners to plan, develop and oversee implementation and monitoring of work occurring within the Wildfire and Forest Resilience Program.

Petaluma

• Support the Natural Resource Management Program at California State Parks in Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco and Napa Counties. Work collaboratively with State Park staff and partners to develop and oversee.
• Plan and implement special status species management, invasive species control, vegetation succession and fuels management projects
• Supervise contractors and lead staff and volunteers in completion of biological resource surveys, invasive species management and fuel reduction work
• Support development of local prescribed fire program and build capacity for beneficial fire use that aligns with ongoing natural resource stewardship objectives
• Assist with development and review of natural resource program long-range and annual work plans, budgets and financial reporting
• Track and map work performed using ESRI software suite and use of Calflora

• Plan and lead monthly volunteer habitat restoration and trail maintenance projects
• Coordinate volunteer outreach through social media channels, emails and maintain Land Trust website
• Hire contractors to complete biological resource surveys, hazard tree assessments and invasive species management and tree work
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment
• Track work performed and report to funders quarterly

Half Moon Bay California

• Develop and coordinate implementation of habitat enhancement & restoration projects
• Supervise contractors in implementation of erosion control, invasive species treatment and stream restoration work
• Develop scopes of work, RFPs and oversee bid processes to select contractors for projects
• Biomonitor to ensure endangered species act and permit compliance at construction sites
• Build and maintain relationships with public and private landowners, funders and project stakeholders
• Track budgets, report to funders and support grant writing efforts

Putah Creek Riparian Reserve

• Preform wide variety of trail stewardship, landscape maintenance and fuel reduction tasks
• Independently operate tractors, ATVs, chainsaws, string trimmers, mowers and other equipment
• Install and maintain irrigation (above ground and subsurface) systems for native landscapes
• Coordinate interns and volunteers to plan and implement stewardship & restoration projects

San Francisco Bay Area

• Provided Interpretive programs to diverse audiences, with emphasis on groups traditionally underserved by the park
• Assisted permanent staff in the implementation of the GGNRA outreach plan
• Aided park in general interpretive operations (visitor centers, distribution of park usage surveys, roving in parklands, etc.)
• Represented the National Park Service at community events and festivals
