Overpass is a platform and marketplace for hiring, monitoring, and managing remote sales representatives. In this role I serve as an in-house database subject matter expert responsible for conducting deep dives into Couchbase to identify performance optimization opportunities and investigating performance issues related to data fetching. I also authorize code that touches the databases, contribute to data modeling for new features, and deliver internal presentations to development teams on database best practices. My special project work has included building a caching solution in JS, a full text search solution, and a statistics service for reports and dashboards built in Python and Pandas. In addition to my coding responsibilities I also facilitate code walkthroughs for new hires during onboarding.

Kashrus built a niche software system for kosher food certification agencies. I initially joined in a lead product support role before taking on additional responsibilities in software development. My hands-on work included writing Python scripts that enabled integration of client systems via the Kashrus APIs to automate data input.
