Major duties is to ensure the subprojects financed by world back through the world bank funded projects NARIGP and NAVCDP comply with the world bank set Environment and social standards. These standards cover a wide range of areas including assessment and management of social risks and impacts, labour and working conditions, pollution prevention management, biodiversity conservation and sustainable management of living natural resources, stakeholder engagement and information disclosure, cultural heritage, and land acquisition restrictions on land use and involuntary resettlement.In addition I coordinate structured and documented grievance management in the county in the project area.

• Deployed as a District Gender and Home management Officer/Njaa Marufuku Kenya pprogramme Desk Officer in Kisii central district.• To coordinate, supervise; give technical backstopping and guidance on programmes and projects of Home Economics and youth in agriculture programme, Gender (and other crosscutting issues as HIV/AIDS, human rights and advocacy, drugs and abuse) in the district.• Coordinate the Njaa Marufuku Kenya programme in the district which is a food security programme that gives grants to groups (with a bias on vulnerability, gender and youth) on presentation of credible proposals to carry out activities that can enhance food security and reduce poverty. The groups are capacity build by the Farmer Field School approach.• Collect, analyze, store and disseminate information in the above mentioned areas• Participate in stakeholder forum, agricultural shows, agricultural committees as a way of extending agricultural technologies and linking farmers to the services they require.• Participate in monitoring and evaluation on the effectiveness and efficiency of the above programmes.• Do sectoral progress reports, work plans and budgets for the area

• Supervising and managing a group of 20 employees• Ensuring the safe storage of cereals & produce at the depo • Purchasing cereals when in season disposing them when there is need i.e. marketing of cereals & produce.• Managing the logistics of cereals & produce between suppliers and the depot• In-charge of budgeting & payment of utility & production material bills at the depot.• Budget Centre Controller for the depot, controlling all expenditure as a signatory to the depot accounts.• Preparing weekly stock & weekly stock movement reports, weekly cashbook and Weekly bank reconciliation as well as monthly reports all for inspection by the head and regional office.
