I have more than 16 years of experience as a Power system studies expert and researcher. My specialization includes power system applications like planning, modeling, reliability and operational studies for transmission utility and distribution networks i.e., Load flow analysis, Short circuit analysis, Static & Dynamic motor starting analysis, Harmonic Analysis, Transient stability studies, Reactive power compensation, Islanding and Load shedding studies, Shunt reactors sizing, Protection co-ordination and Insulation coordination studies using various power system simulation tools like PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, NEPLAN, MATLAB and MATPOWER. In addition to above system studies expertise, I have also contributed to research activities as researcher like power system state estimation, external network modeling using internal network information, identifying renewable integration locations and sizing as per grid codes with respect to existing network snapshot using optimization, available transfer capability computation using DC and AC linear sensitivity methods, Inertia ratio studies, windfarm sensitivity based calculation logic to remove overloads due to outages and optimal power flow analysis. Overall, as a researcher worked towards power system stabilization techniques due to high penetration of renewables energy into grid.
