Appointed as Executive Manager for Commercial & Consumer Markets, I am accountable for leading the design and delivery of business development and optimisation initiatives for the Consumer (Personal Insurance), SME, Corporate and Commercial Insurance portfolios, representing billions of dollars in Gross Written Premium (GWP). Focused on driving the growth of Suncorp’s best known insurance brands through effective portfolio management, I provide strategic leadership to an on-/off-shore team of 50+, driving business development initiatives that champion innovation and add value to millions of customers across ANZ. As Mass Markets Manager, I leveraged data and advanced analytics to provide insights and enable decision making across functions, an approach I continue to champion across my team today to build the Group’s competitive advantage in an increasingly complex and disruptive market.• Contributed to a multibillion-dollar increase in GWP and 2% (multimillion) improvement in profit over 3 years, providing strategic leadership and direction to operational teams;• Achieved employee engagement scores on 98% against a global benchmark of 70%, creating a team environment that drives innovation and empowers accountability;• Launched an ‘Insurance on Demand’ product in partnership with Trōv, leading the development of a pricing model that enables customers to insure assets at the ‘touch of a button’;• Leveraged technology to deploy a self-service Big Data tool improving P&L outcomes across the portfolio, subsequently picked up and adopted by other business lines, including Life.

An interim project-based role, I held accountability for driving high impact long- and short-term projects within the organisation’s Strategic Initiatives Group, consolidating 18 insurance brands into a centralised model. Key engagements and achievements include:• Provided strategic advice throughout the large-scale amalgamation of the insurance portfolio, creating a centralised operating model to consolidate 18 brands of varied product and pricing matrices;• Met all target deadlines, building multi-level relationships to effectively manage all pricing, forecasting and contract elements of projects;• Facilitated a multimillion-dollar saving though on-time delivery, collaborating with cross functional teams across 5-6 project streams.

Joining FinTech start-up Core Element during my MIT study, I quickly progressed to establish and manage the product development team as a trusted right-hand to the GM. Facilitating the business’ growth, I developed the product roadmap and managed the launch calendar, working in partnership with data suppliers to deliver within the allocated development budget. During this period of growth, I built and managed a team of 20, developing the competencies required to confidently navigate and engage clients within the industry. Latterly, I drove an agenda of continuous improvement, utilising customer feedback to evolve product offerings.• Established a robust foundation for development operations, building the team and roadmap underpinning successful commercialisation;• Implemented financial products for ASX, NZX and NYSE stock exchanges with a forecast to deliver multimillion-dollar EBIT in 3 years;• Launched add-on packages to enhance products, bridging gaps in the organisation’s product offerings and addressing consumer demand.
