Responsibilities:- • Providing support for Severity -1 & 2 issues, as and when required.• Managing, designing and implementing Data Center, corporate offices, sales offices and field offices.• Managing VPLS links, internet link and MPLS links.• Firmware/software upgrades of network security components. • Management of Wireless connectivity solutions (LWAP/WLC/WCS), switches, routers, and monitoring/management server/s.• Firewall rule base creation and cleanup on regular intervals.• Based on SOC advisories and verification of the alerts from third-party Internet database, taking corrective actions such as, IP address blacklisting/whitelisting.• Cisco secure ACS/TACACS+ configuration (User/Group/command authorization set configuration).• Switch/router/firewall hardening - ACL’s for device login through telnet/SSH, SNMP configuration, NTP configuration, Adding Banners/Hostname/Port descriptions.• Carrying out the scheduled testing like throughput, traffic shifting and failover.• Reviewing and approving the changes in CRB.• Adding/Deleting the network devices in monitoring tools.• Managing DHCP scope and DNS (A-record, PTR record, CNAME) via Infoblox.

Handling Neotel South African ISP (AS 36937) as a NOC Engineer. Neotel is a leading ISP in South Africa caters various services ranging from NeoInternet (ILL),L2/L3 VPN, Broadband, Voice based on business requirement.• Maintenance of MPLS/VPN link, it involves trouble shooting the link for complete link failures, errors, flapping, packet drops, destination not reachable, routing issue and latency on the link, diagnosing the root cause of problem and rectifying the same.• Maintenance of internet link, it involves wide range of internet related issue such as site not opening, DNS not resolving, slow browsing and latency. Troubleshooting and rectifying the root cause of problem.• Coordinating with Peering partners for allowing new prefixes in our network and vice-verse.• Contacting customer coming under platinum category during any issue in their services.• Coordinating with schedule planned activity persons and provides successful completion of event.• Coordinating with Different Teams (Transmission, M/W and Field support) in South Africa.• Carrying out the scheduled testing like throughput, traffic shifting and fail-over.• Coordinating with vendors (Cisco & Juniper) for hardware related issues.
