I am Milán Nagy, 25 years old. I graduated vehicle engineering on master level at the University of Győr in January 2021. In the course of BSc study and length of time in SZEngine Formula Student Engine Development Team, I acquired knowledge to use the PTC CREO 3D CAD software, where I got the duties to plan parts first with the lower, then with higher level of difficulty. During the team membership in SZEngine, I had an opportunity to take part in a PTC CREO course in Budaörs, what was organised by S&T Hungary Ltd, on which the features by parametric surface modelling were introduced in detail.Parallel with writing of Bachelor’s thesis, I studied a mechanics subject what deals with the Finite Element Method (FEM); hereby I got insight into the interface of Abaqus/CAE at basic level.After I graduated from BSc, I continued my study at the master level in February 2018, while I was active team member of SZEngine Formula Student Engine Development Team, in which I worked in the thermodynamics department for more than two years. My tasks were the flow analyse and development of engine parts for intake and exhaust system, on the other hand, monitoring of the charge exchange in the development phase. I got the duty to look for the optimum in case of wave phenomena (pressure waves) in intake and exhaust system and analyse the resulting flow conditions during the valve overlap by different engine speed and load what are the most favourable for a Formula Student race engine. The 3D simulations were essential for the flow development of engine parts what were created by me in Star CCM+ software. I was the responsible person for the manufacturing of intake system, of which parts were made of carbon fabric with composite technology by laminate.An industrial project by Audi Hungaria Ltd gave the topic of my master’s thesis what came true on Department of Internal Combustion Engines and Propulsion Technology at the University. Thanks to the content of the industrial project, my knowledge expanded in engine test bench environment and their interfaces because I came into contact several times with the test bench software what’s name is PUMA (Prüf,- und Messtechnik Automatisierung) and developed by AVL List Ltd. During using of PUMA, I became more and more familiar with the software interface, during which I gained insight into the Navigator and the Concerto section of PUMA, so I was able to write various automated tests and evaluate measurements independently.
