Global nomad I call myself. Born and raised in Bangladesh I have lived in Honolulu, Bangkok, Seoul, and now in Portland, Oregon. I am a public school educator and an American citizen by choice. I am passionate about my work as a Program Administrator, advocating for equity and social justice so that all students can access learning and reach their highest potential. Teaching enabled me to touch young minds and shape their thinking where learning went beyond the four walls of my classroom. As an administrator, I am mindful about leading educators to have meaningful discourse on matters of culturally sustaining pedagogy and continuous improvement, centering on equity driven, student focused coaching cycles with teachers to strengthen and improve instructional practices. I believe with a passion that when the culture and climate of schools are safe, welcoming and inclusive, then we all soar collectively and individually.I am spiritual and I love the many surprises that life offers every day. I embrace challenges with a positive attitude because we only grow stronger when we are faced with the unknown.
