CurrentI support private sector companies in strengthening their human rights due diligence to reduce poverty and promote women’s economic empowerment while respecting and promoting human rights and tackling inequality.My work focuses on ensuring decent working conditions throughout the supply chain. I am currently working with a wide range of FMCG companies. Areas of work during my as a Private Sector Advisor:• Supported 19 suppliers across 16 countries for three multinational FMCG companies in establishing operational-level grievance mechanisms for workers, in alignment with UN Guiding Principles.• Designed worker-centric pilot initiatives with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) for growers in Southern Italy and Spain to establish effective grievance mechanisms in agricultural supply chains.• Conducted a primary study with the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) to identify the root causes of ineffective grievance mechanisms in the agricultural supply chains of Southern Italy and Spain.• Supported an FMCG company and a luxury clothing brand in Europe in enhancing their worker well-being surveys, developed well-being analysis tools, and created action toolkits for suppliers to address supply chain issues.• Calculated the living wage gap among the workers at one of their supplier sites in India and outlined strategies to address and close the gap.• Developed a Social Certification toolkit for a clothing wholesaler, covering human rights due diligence and other essential areas.Number of projects that I have worked on in this role: 08
