About Nahil Memon
Who am I?I am a creative technologist. This includes being an engineer, a designer, a front-end Web developer, an artist, and an educator. I graduated from New York University Abu Dhabi, where I majored in Civil Engineering and minored in Art & Art History: Arts Practice, which included both Fine Arts and Interactive Media. I've also completed a Udacity Nanodegree in Front-End Web Development. What do I do?I like to dabble. I have delved into the two-dimensional worlds of fine arts, drawing, painting, graphic design, and web design, the three-dimensional worlds of woodworking, sculpting, game design, building physical and virtual networks, and the digital worlds of circuit-bending with Arduino, coding with Processing, Python, and JavaScript, graphic programming with Isadora, and front-end web development. I have also explored storytelling in different media including sound, comics, film, and stop-motion animation.My past and current projects have revolved around the themes of magic, play, and bringing the outdoors indoors. I like to explore how to combine elements of math, science, and art in various forms as well as explore the different means of storytelling, particularly interactive storytelling. I also have a strong interest in sustainable and biophilic architecture.
